    PURPOSE

    Position involves overseeing the welfare facilities provided for the well-being and benefits of the staff members.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Ensuring Labor laws compliance under various regulations.
    • Supporting contract negotiations with trade unions.
    • Assisting in conducting collective bargaining agreements and grievances.
    • Filing of necessary documents with relevant government departments.
    • Monitoring and guiding contractors on labor compliance and minimum wage applications.
    • Handle statutory audits and legal proceedings related to labor matters.
    • Developing strong relations with employees and external organizations.
    • Ensuring continuous dialogue and communication between management and staff.
    • Maintain liaison with government agencies for statutory compliance.
    • Handling day-to-day employee grievances and disciplinary actions.
    • Organizing various communication platforms and events.
    • Providing guidance and counseling to staff members as needed.
    • Advising management on employee relations matters.
    • Reporting on activities and functions to top management.
    • Organizing employee activities and benefits programs.
    • Facilitating rewards and recognition programs.
    • Providing support on insurance claims and other employee-related issues.
    • Conducting training and development programs for employees.
    • Performing other duties as required.

    WORK/BUSINESS CONTACTS AND AUTHORITY

    • Internal:
    • Management Team, Union Leaders, All terminal employees.

    • External:
    • Legal Consultants, Statutory authorities, Local agencies, Politicians, etc.

      CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

      • Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a postgraduate degree/diploma in human resources, business administration, behavioral science, or management (Preferably qualified from Maharashtra Institute of Labor Studies)
      • Experience: 5 to 8 years of human resources or related work emphasizing organizational design, employment, labor law, employee relations, compensation, and benefits
      • Thorough understanding of international management standards and principles.
      • Ability to review and interpret data.
      • Proficiency in computer usage and presentation materials.
      • Adherence to safety and health requirements for the office environment.
