    About Function/Department

    The investment arm of The Times Group, Brand Capital focuses on leveraging brand-led growth and value creation through unique investment models. Over the past 15 years, Brand Capital has significantly impacted the startup ecosystem and played a key role in the success of multiple Indian unicorns and the creation of new market categories.

    About the Position

    Brand Estate Legal Head is responsible for providing legal guidance to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. This role includes overseeing legal transactions, managing contracts, mitigating risks, and collaborating with different departments to facilitate smooth brand estate operations and transactions.

    Areas of Responsibility

    • Legal Compliance & Contract Management: Stay updated on real estate laws, ensure legal compliance, develop strategies to mitigate risk, review and customize agreements for Brand Estate clients to ensure smooth deal closures.
    • Coordination with other teams within BCCL: Collaborate with the Secretarial and Legal departments for initiating litigation against clients if necessary.
    • Coordination across teams: Provide legal guidance to the Business Development team members to facilitate deal closures.

    Educational Qualifications Required

    LLB or LLM degree from a recognized law school in India.

    Relevant Experience

    • A) Minimum 8-10 years of team leadership experience.
    • B) Experience in negotiating land deals, structuring transactions with NBFCs and PE Funds independently.
    • C) NCLT case-handling experience.
