    About the Team:

    The Partnerships, Sponsorship, and Sales team is committed to executing sponsorship and partner initiatives for the organization.

    This team is responsible for identifying sales prospects across all TEDxGateway events/partnerships. Consisting of a Client Servicing Manager, Partnerships & Sponsorship Manager, and Partnerships & Sponsorship Associate, the team collaborates to identify and reach out to corporations, foundations, and brands not currently engaged with TEDxGateway. Concurrently, the team nurtures existing client relationships to ensure robust rapport and the delivery of exceptional customer service.

    About the Role: Head of Partnerships & Sponsorship

    The Head of Partnerships & Sponsorship is accountable for devising, planning, and executing sponsorship and partner activities within the organization.

    The broad responsibilities encompass formulating key sales growth strategies, tactics, and action plans, ensuring their successful implementation to meet financial objectives, attain annual targets, foster relationships, and comprehend customer behaviors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Owning and achieving/exceeding annual sales targets for all events and properties
    • Developing and implementing a strategic plan to reach sales targets and broaden the partner/sponsor and client base
    • Establishing and nurturing enduring customer relationships
    • Collaborating with clients and partners to grasp their business requirements and goals
    • Conveying the value proposition effectively through proposals and presentations
    • Gaining insights into category-specific landscapes and trends
    • Monitoring influences that impact tactical budgets and strategic orientations of accounts
    • Establishing and driving sales team, procedures, and systems
    • Full accountability for P&L across all Events and Properties
    • Managing P&L for events from a sponsor's standpoint
    • Owning New & Existing Product Planning and Sales
    • Guiding the sales team towards targets and incentivizing based on achievements
    • Managing and optimizing budgets
    • Handling Vendor management
    • Leading the formulation and execution of Partnership proposals, contracts, and associated documentation
    • Identifying and addressing Market Gaps for revenue growth and margin enhancement
    • Assuming ownership of Client relations including tailoring products to meet client needs
    • Supporting and supervising teams in planning, developing, and overseeing sponsorship strategy and daily team management for sponsorship activities and activations
    • Ensuring the team delivers outstanding customer service, fostering positive business relationships to ensure timely delivery of agreements/commitments by implementing best practices
    • Analyzing partnership campaigns to assess successes and hurdles for devising optimal future strategies
    • Overseeing Invoicing and Receivables
    • Conducting negotiations and finalizing sponsorship agreements, guaranteeing the exchange of approved and signed contracts
    • Maintaining files and records of all sponsor/partner contracts and negotiations

    Key Skills:

    • Demonstrated experience as a successful sales executive, meeting or surpassing targets
    • Previous involvement as a sales manager or sales and marketing director
    • Ability to engage, present, and influence various levels within the organization, including executives and C-level management
    • Proven capability to guide the sales process from inception to closure
    • Ability to elucidate the unique features of products and services
    • Capability to position products in comparison to competitors
    • Previous experience as a sales head, crafting client-centric, distinctive, and attainable solutions
    • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation competencies
    • Strong verbal and written communication proficiencies
