Description
We are looking for a Sales and Procurement manager to drive growth of our new business division. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and procurement strategies, managing customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and overseeing end to end business transactions.
As an import and export professional, you will be responsible for managing the international trade activities of our company. For this new division, you will oversee the entire process of buying and selling goods and services across the Americas, Europe and Asia region. You will negotiate contracts, coordinate shipments, handle customs clearance, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. You will also monitor market trends, identify new opportunities, and maintain good relationships with suppliers and customers.
Role Description
· Responsible for driving growth of the commodity (SPICES,HERBS,SUGAR SOYBEAN ,MEAL,WHEAT,WHEAT FLOUR STARCHES ,RICE,PULSES,LENTILS,OILS,OIL SEEDS,COCONUT - OIL, CREAM, MILK, WATER) business in the EU, US & APAC with focus on market penetration in target markets with the value proposition of specific commodities.
· Research and source potential suppliers and customers in different markets
· Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery conditions with vendors and buyers
· Plan, execute, and evaluate the import and export operations of the company
· Prepare and review purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents, and other trade-related documents
· Coordinate and track the transportation and delivery of goods and services
· Ensure that all import and export transactions comply with the applicable laws, regulations, and standards of the countries involved
· Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during the import and export process
· Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in the international trade industry
· Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders
· Acquisition of new accounts in the EU, US & APAC markets; and continued growth of existing customer base.
· The position will be responsible for business growth enabled by standard products targeting end use and Marketing in regions.
· Lead the development of marketing and sales strategies.
· Establish partnerships with local distributors and suppliers.
· Developing products targeting markets
· Communication with customers to keep them constantly updated on the market conditions with relevant recommendations where applicable.
· Ensuring that all commitments to customers are achievable and following through to ensure the same.
· Handling customer feedback in an appropriate manner and ensuring satisfactory closure where applicable.
· Develop Distribution systems & maintain relation with existing, as required in the region.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in international business, trade, logistics, or related field
· At least 10+ years of proven experience
· Strong knowledge of the international trade laws, regulations, and procedures
· Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
· Fluent in English and at least one other foreign language
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Willingness to travel as required
· Proven experience in high value sales for commodity industry.
· Must have a strong background of handling export sales of commodity (RICE, WEATH, TEA, COFFEE, SUGAR etc....).
