    Title: Plant/Cost Accounting (Qualified CWA/CMA/CA)

    Location: Pune (Maharashtra)

    Brief Profile:

    The Plant/Cost Accounting Manager will play a key role as onsite Financial and Accounting Business Partner for our Indapur

    Plant, Maharashtra and Halol Plant in Baroda, Gujrat.

    The Plant/ Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for setting up and maintenance of accurate process cost information, reconciliation of standard costs to actual costs, maintenance of perpetual inventory system, participating in the month end close and budgeting process, and assisting the Regional Finance Controller with day-to-day operations and reporting requirements.

    This position will be responsible for developing/maintaining an effective cost accounting system to reduce cost and improve overall profitability. The position will be responsible to provide such action plans to support business especially partnering with Plant Head, Operation Head and Regional Finance Controller for key decision makings by provide prompt meaningful analysis.

    Plant Accounting Manager will also manage and prepare key financial reports such as Manufacturing Cost Analysis, standard costing, Margin Analysis & Variance Analysis while ensuring controls are in place to safeguard the assets of company.

    Strong analytical skill to understand root cause for inventory movement and driving projects for inventory improvement.

    Qualification & Eligibility Criteria:

    Qualified Cost Accountant (CWA/CMA) Institute of Cost Accountants of India or Chartered Accountant (CA) from Institute

    of Chartered Accountant of India.

    8-12 years of Managerial experience in Plant Cost Accounting in manufacturing environment.

    QAD knowledge will be an added advantage.

    Must haves skillset:

    • Thorough knowledge of cost accounting principles, systems and procedures
    • Ability to Multi-task with maintaining high degree/Quality of accuracy and quality in output
    • Ability to perform under stringent deadlines
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Critical thinker and strong financial, analytical, problem-solving skills and result oriented.
    • Proactive in foreseeing challenging situation and act promptly.
    • A team player attitude and team performance mind-set.
    • Good hands on MS office- Advance MS Excel, PowerPoint etc.
    • Strong experience in a recognised ERP system environment.
    • Experience in reporting tools viz. OneStream, HFM
    • Digital transformation tools viz. Power BI, Alteryx etc.
    • Strong interpersonal skill and time management and data management.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Maintaining Cost Accounting Records
    • Maintaining and Controlling Product Costing based on Standard Costing method
    • Checking of BOM Routing updation time to time and Coordinating with Operations and Engineering Team
    • Work order management and timely closure in Coordination with Operation team
    • Logistic/Freight cost management in Coordination with Logistic team
    • Material Movement/Trend Analysis for Pricing and quantity (material balancing)
    • Monthly Costing Profit & Loss A/c and Overhead analysis
    • Cost validation at quotation level
    • Margin Analysis- Quotation and Actuals
    • Standard Costing Variance Analysis
    • Measure inventory movement and performance as well as calculate the Obsolete & Excess (E&O) inventory reserve based on corporate policies.
    • Prepare key financial reports such as Manufacturing Cost Forecasting and bridging with Actuals.
    • Overseeing project cost management strategy and aligning with the organization's financial requirements
    • Assist departmental and operating personnel in resolving cost issues, including cost discrepancies, account coding, Item code and variances.
    • Responsible for overall Plant P&L
    • Budget/AOP Preparation of Plant cost & Margin Analysis
    • Monitor & Control on Day-to-Day plant operations
    • New Ideas for Cost Saving/Improvements
    • Review, challenge, monitor, and support all inventory control functions. Co-ordinate between Logistics, Production, and Audit team for physical stock counting for Management reporting and Statutory Audit.
    • Improve internal control and follow up action plan such as cycle count, scrap sale, fixed assets control, production report.
    • Need to lead and improvise various systems and processes with a view to strengthening those in line with Best Practices.
    • Preparation & updation of Internal Financial Control (IFC Planner), Risk Control Matrix (RCM), Process narratives & flow charts related to Inventory, Costing and Capex
    • Monthly monitoring of CAPEX, ROI Calculation for New Capex and Cost Benefit Analysis for plant related assets
    • Prepare/ Review monthly schedules/reconciliations in blackline, General Ledger Scrutiny as per US Reporting for Inventory and Costing.
    • Prepare/ Review annual schedules/reconciliations and General Ledger Scrutiny as per Ind-As Audit requirement for Inventory and Costing.
    • Active support in Weekly Forecasting, Monthly Financial Reporting and Annual Budgeting.
    • Independently handling Cost Audit and Support for internal and external audits performed at the site.
    • Assist and challenge teams with compiling cost improvements, team goals, and monthly forecasts.
    • Share and building team knowledge and supervise accounting staff.
    • Regular visits to Plant and Close Co-ordination with different functions.
