- Leads a team of media designers, UI/UX and front-end developer
- Responsible for employee lifecycle management (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, career development, annual compensation reviews)
- Embraces Lilly's culture, organizational structure, roles, and practices, including strong knowledge of how team fits into bigger picture of the US Affiliate as well as the broader Lilly organization.
- Knows and reinforces Lilly's learning strategy, design and development processes, content development tools and resources.
- Thinks as a "partner" in the business and ensures that team delivers on expectations (on time, high quality, business value, risk mitigation, cost optimization and return on investment).
- Partners to ensure capacity and workload management can meet business demands.

- Exhibits knowledge of healthcare environment and regulated industry practices.
- Has a thorough understanding of Lilly's Quality processes and must be capable of understanding and applying these processes and requirements when executing their role.
- Support evaluation of new technologies, techniques, and tools.
- Work closely with project managers and instructional designers to understand learning objectives and translate them into visually appealing and impactful media assets (graphics, animations, videos)
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for assigned media design projects.
- Ensure efficient project delivery, meeting deadlines, and exceeding client expectations.
- Set and maintain high standards for visual design quality across all learning content materials.
- Develop and implement design style guides to ensure consistency and brand alignment.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in learning content design and multimedia development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (instructional designers, project managers, developers, operations).
- Ability to clearly articulate design concepts and collaborate with clients to ensure their needs are met.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Creative Design, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 8-10 years of proven experience in media design, user interface, user experience, interaction design
- Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating a design team.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and resources effectively.
- Excellent understanding of visual design principles and best practices for creating engaging learning content.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, HTML, CSS).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions based on data and insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Performs tasks with high attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple work requirements simultaneously.

Position Description:
The purpose of the Manager role is to provide technical leadership, people leadership and strategic direction to team members within the Global Learning Content Development team at LCCI.
The GLCS team consists of a dedicated group of learning professionals responsible for enhancing the learning experiences for Lilly learners globally. This team partners with learning professionals globally to design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning content. This position reports to the Associate Director of LCCI Global Learning Content Services and oversees a team of media designers, UI/UX Designers and Front-End Developer
The GLCS Team Leader – Media Design position provides creative support to GLCS team. The media design Team Leader position is a key role that provides creative support, helps design and develop high quality learning content. This position is responsible for the ownership and coordination of media design and development processes within GLCS. This role interacts with a wide variety of individuals both in LCCI and the US, at varying organizational levels of the business. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative media design professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling resource capacity, coach and mentor media designers, and employing their strong knowledge of creative applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, HTML, and Microsoft applications to drive creative excellence within the team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong visual design, analytical mindset and exceptional decision-making skills based on data-driven insights. They will also be adept at analyzing and implementing possible solutions to address a variety of day-to-day operational challenges. Additionally, proficiency in automating processes within creative suite is preferred
