    Your Contribution:

    As a Senior Technical Learning Developer reporting to the Senior Learning Manager, you will develop courseware to support both new and existing products in collaboration with the Product Division.

    • You will collaborate with subject matter experts, developers, and other teams to simplify complex information into engaging content for target audiences.
    • You will create technical content following instructional design principles and Ciena processes with guidance from senior team members.
    • You will be involved in rectifying errors in technical content and incorporating feedback from team members and reviewers.
    • You will participate in creating instructional videos, designing program workflows, and assessing program effectiveness.
    • You will transform raw content into concise eLearning modules by working closely with senior team members.
    • You will craft creative content for various learning formats like videos, storyboards, lab exercises, and instructor-led training sessions.

    Key Requirements:

    • Technical/engineering degree or equivalent experience with live networks and instructional design/technical writing.
    • Experience in Telecommunications, Network Support Engineering, or related fields.
    • Understanding of technical concepts like VPN, MPLS, and routing protocols.
    • Background in SD-WAN and software-based routing technologies.
    • Ability to create engaging technical content and network diagrams using tools like PowerPoint.
    • Experience mentoring junior developers and participating in morning meetings EST time zone.
    • Proficiency in Office 365 and project management tools like Trello.

    Additional Skills:

    • Knowledge of eLearning development tools like Camtasia, Captivate, and Storyline.
    • Project management or Agile certifications.
    • Understanding of Learning Management Systems design and implementation.
    • CCNA/CCNP certification is a plus.
    • Experience with Agile-based Scrum teams and related tools like Jira.
