    Senior Manager, Product Development – Bags & Pouches

    Job Summary:

    We seek a dynamic Senior Manager for Product Development to join our team. This pivotal role will spearhead our portfolio strategy for the bags & pouches category, developing new products, enhancing existing ones, and ensuring we meet consumer needs and trends. The Senior Manager will also oversee the product development efforts of our OEM (white label) business, mentoring and guiding a Deputy Manager dedicated to this segment.

    Experience Range - Above 15 years

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the ideation, design, and development of bags & pouches, deciding the company's range/collection, formats, number of SKUs, designs, etc., incorporating consumer needs and trends to maintain and enhance our brand's market position.
    • Ensure product-market fit by understanding the product's commercial aspect, mapping it in the market, and comparing it to competitors.
    • Conduct regular domestic and international travel to identify consumer trends, explore new vendor capabilities, and attend relevant trade shows and industry events. The objective is ultimately to introduce relevant products/features to enhance the brand's position and market share.
    • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to delivery, ensuring products are developed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
    • Take feedback from the relevant stakeholders and analyze sales data to ensure the product-market fit is achieved.
    • Collaborate closely with the replenishment and sales teams to gather critical data and insights for product development and procurement strategies.
    • Oversee and mentor the Product Development Deputy Manager for the OEM business, ensuring alignment with global trends and client needs.
